An important part of our successful design methodology is usability testing. Testing provides a measurable proof of concept, saving time and limiting investments in unnecessary functionality and features. Applying structure to the art of design is a hallmark of our work.
In order to verify and 'fine-tune' the user experience, Busse Design utilizes three areas of testing during development.

Contextual Inquiry
Verifying Assumptions
Selecting a group of users from within your organization, an existing customer/client base or Busse Design's pool of test subjects, we can explore both your existing product or service and future product relesases or service offerings. Questionnaires completed by participants help the project team get a good understanding of potential usability issues. Early detection of these issues saves time and money. We are able to avoid or postpone investing resources in features and functionalities that are shown through initial testing to be superfluous.
Formal Testing
Identifying and Analyzing User Experience and Expectations
Formal testing within a lab focuses on existing or potential product users. Monitored by trained and experienced moderators, users participate in in-depth analyses designed to highlight strengths and short-comings of product features and UI.
Post-release Analysis
Maintaining Success
Often called usability monitoring, Busse Design uses testing partners to conduct usability analyses of performance and roadblocks resulting from shifts in audience and feature sets that occur after the product development cycle. Ongoing testing enables problems to be proactively addressed.
